Larry, you were always kind to me. I remember you trying to teach me how to play tennis in junior high and high school. You, also taught me shortcuts in math, which became my favorite subject. I will miss you, my dear friend. Prayers for the family. heart

I will miss you my good friend. We had such wonderful times together.

From Raliegh's facebook post:

On Sunday, March 1, 2020 my husband Larry Weckbaugh passed away from complications due to cardiac arrest. It was an unexpected event that followed a happy day with our daughter and her family—watching her boys wrestle in their tournament and dining at a Greek restaurant afterwards. He was a wonderful husband, father, “Poppy,” son-in-law, brother and friend to many.

The arrangements are:

Wednesday, 3/4:
6-8 PM - Visitation at Jesus the Good Shepherd Church, 1601 Mt. Harmony Rd., Owings, MD. 20736

Thursday, 3/5:
9:30 - 10:30 AM - Visitation at Jesus the Good Shepherd Church
11:00 AM - Burial mass at Jesus the Good Shepherd
12:00 PM - Luncheon to immediately follow the service

Friday, 3/6:
Private inurnment burial service

Details about memorial contributions will be posted soon. In lieu of cards, if a story, joke, or special memory about Larry could be written and given to the family, that would be deeply appreciated.

Your prayers, calls, texts, emails, posts, support, love and food during this time have meant, and will continue to mean, so much to our family during this difficult time.

Larry was a good friend to many of us.  I knew him from scouting (I believe he was an Eagle Scout) , playing baseball together and eating PB&Js after practice either at his home or mine.  Our dads were our scout leaders and we traveled on many scouting trips together. There wasn't to many finer more genuine and sincere people I have known in life then Larry.  This loss has left a hole for many of us, but, memories of Larry will carry on and comfort us. Best to his loving family.

Larry and I graduated together. We were friends, but we weren't as close as some of the others. He never did anything halfway, if he was going to do something he committed to it and never wavered. I remember how happy I was when we found out he was going to Annapolis. I was happy for him and me, and I was so proud that someone from HPHS had been accepted into the academy. I have enjoyed his family pictures over the years, I will miss them. My heart goes out to his family. May his memory be eternal.
