Mark Turner

Mark A. Turner, 68, of Perry, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022.

He was born September 13, 1953, in West Point, Nebraska, the son of Glen and Mary Ann (Boyer) Turner. He graduated from Highland Park High School.  

Mark worked for KASB as a printing press operator for ten years. After leaving KASB, he was employed by the Music Box as a Disc Jockey and performed at weddings, birthday parties, and graduations. He later drove a taxi cab in Lawrence, Kansas. 

He had a special passion for music. He enjoyed singing and listening to Classic Rock, especially the Beatles. Mark was a part of a band 70's and 80's. In his spare time, he also enjoyed fishing and going to the lake. He was a great cook and often hosted parties and cookouts with his family and friends. He was joke teller. 

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Borchardt; daughter, Ashley Turner and one brother, John Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Jean Turner and Lee Turner.

Honoring Mark’s wishes, cremation is planned. The family plans to have a private memorial service at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Mark’s family and sent in care of Penwell Gabel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, Kansas.
