Danny was a very good friend for many years. I knew him from sixth grade thru high school. In our youth we were in the same Scout troop, Troop 75 as I recall, and went on many scout outings. Danny was an excellent artist. In Jr. High he loved drawing cars and dinosaurs. In our teen years he sure loved those Chevys. He was cheerful yet serious. Especially with his car. Very good and fond memories of Danny.
Daniel Dan A. Vaughn, age 55, of Topeka, passed away March 23, 2008 at his home in Topeka. He was born January 11, 1953 in Topeka the son of David A. Vaughn and Bernice L. Wilson Vaughn. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1971. He worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.. in Topeka for over 20 years. He was a member of the United Steel Workers #307 and the Topeka Chevy Club. Dan was preceded in death by his dad, David A. Vaughn November 13, 2004.. He is survived by his mother, Bernice Vaughn of Topeka; a brother, Dale Vaughn and his wife, Brenda of Tecumseh; a niece, Nicki Vaughn and a nephew, Jesse Vaughn, both of Tecumseh. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery at 6th & Gage in Topeka. The family will receive friends from 2:00 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
